SpanishIn many ways Spanish is the perfect language, it’s fluency, it’s adherence to rules, it’s poetic nature, and it’s ability to open the Spanish speaking world to those who speak it. To speak only one language is to live in a prison. Learning Spanish will free you and your students to understand other peoples and cultures. As they come to understand and communicate in multiple languages they will better understand them selves, their culture, and their world. As they come to understand who they are, they will gain the tools to determine who they will become. Understanding and speaking a foreign language will open doors to worlds they never knew existed. In that vein the study of language is empowering

Historyknowing and understanding our collective history will make the life of students more meaningful and rich. The purpose of these lessons is to facilitate students in better understanding the world and their role in it. As they come to know and understand their past and present, they will in turn have the tools available to better determine their present.
