d2tEACH wRITING gUIDELINES

1. Write with your readers in mind: Who are they? What do they need to know? What should they know? How will they use your information? ALWAYS be respectful of differences of opinion.
2.  Ask questions about the author's suppositions in the text. Be open-ended and open-minded when addressing the topic. 
3.  Provide links, and/or quotes when relevant/necessary to help readers learn more about your opinion
4.  Each participant is required to post a minimum of four insightful posts, i.e. essays related to the text (at least one per blog) prior to  May 1st.  
5. Participants are required to read and respond to a minimum of five of their peers posts, by May 15th, as such it is imperative that all participants meet their deadlines. Plan ahead to give yourself time to brainstorm, read, write, and edit.
5.  Pay attention to copyright. Use other people’s work with respect and link to your sources.
6.  Stick to the topic. Don’t write about your weekend plans or gossip.
7.  Think before you post. Ask yourself, is this something I want my parents, students , friends, strangers to see? What are the consequences if you post this?
8. Only post information you can verify as accurate. Provide links to your sources.
